A circuit model of an obscure analog mastering clipper, derived from the schematic and fitted to measurements of the real unit. A VCA driven at audio rate by a peak-skimming rectifier gets loud without sounding like it is working, and the plugin adds one to three bands, oversampling to 16x and a four-voice digital sum clipper.
Load up to six tracks you know well and keep them one button away from your own mix. MATCH trims the selected reference to your mix's loudness so the louder track does not win the comparison, with LUFS, true peak, a dual analyzer and stereo monitoring live on both sides the whole time.
Big Pump reads the music in real time, lifting low level detail and gently shaving the peaks so the whole signal sits denser and louder without the pumping and dulled transients that come with compression. Four modes tune how it listens, and Push and Pull set which way it moves.
Keep photos and written notes on the track they belong to. Scan the plugin's QR code with your phone, photograph the compressor settings, mic placement or pedal board, and the picture lands in the plugin and saves with the session, ready when you open it again months later.
